greetings not acknowledged
For worldly matters, look into whether things are done as per procedures. If that is ok, that's fine whether a greeting given or acknowledged.
So you may greet someone and get the reward point. If the other person acknowledges he also gets some reward point. If he does not acknowledge, you should not be angry, its ok.
In generally, we greet people we like or family members or relatives. So one has the very freedom to give or acknowledge greetings of a specific person.
