Spending for Luxury items is a kind of charity
When someone has enough money after fulfilling basic needs
of his immediate family and first blood relatives, he/She has two options:
1.Spend the money for luxuryitems
2.Donate the money for charity
Both options are correct. When someone spends money in
luxury, definitely he gets pleasure. And at the same time, many people get
their livelihood by making or providing service for this luxury item. Further
luxury items in general higher standards of human endeavours and thus work as
driving force for development and innovation.
On the other hand, when giving money to charity, one has to
sacrifice his/her pleasure. Its noble and laudable. Probably one will get a
little more points as virtue while spending money charity. Nevertheless
spending money luxury is also no less version of charity. So one should better
go for both options – some money for luxury, some for charity.
